Linda Porter-Wenzlaff and Indigo Moon
Linda has been a member of Therapy Animals of San Antonio since 1990 and has served in many different roles throughout the years. She has a depth of knowledge in the research and engagement of human animal interactions and has provided many related publications and presentations locally, nationally and internationally. Linda is a retired professor, registered nurse and licensed counselor with extensive crisis and disaster response experience over the past 40 years. She led the development of the CARE program, which she now co-directs.
Linda has worked with dogs and horses throughout her career and currently is a registered therapy team and crisis response (CARE) team with her 6 year old Shetland Sheepdog, Indigo Moon. Indigo specializes in young children in her therapy work and steps up her game when in crisis response mode to support all who need a gentle friend. She is a foodie in general but her real passion is for watermelon and vanilla yogurt.
